East Austin doesn't just watch the World Cup — it becomes it. This summer, the East Side is home to Austin's official soccer hub, some of the most passionate watch party crowds in Texas, and a stretch of bars on E. Cesar Chavez and E. 6th Street that's going to feel like a different country on match days. Here's everywhere you need to be.
This is the biggest World Cup moment East Austin has ever hosted. Austin FC has transformed Inn Cahoots on East 6th Street into Casa Verde — a free, 37-day soccer hub showing every single remaining match (100 games total) from June 13 through the Final on July 19. We're talking a large outdoor screen in a beer garden atmosphere, daily live programming, food and drinks, giveaways, and the full backing of FOX 7 Austin. This is the watch party of the summer.
⚠️ Entry is free but registration is required. Venue caps at 5,000. Register at austinfc.com/soccercelebration and arrive early — registration doesn't guarantee entry.
If you're riding with the USMNT, this is your spot. Lou's Eastside has been designated the official Team USA home base as part of MML Hospitality's city-wide country series — meaning USA-themed food specials and tournament cocktails every time America plays. The backyard patio is perfect for summer matches, and they're open from 9 AM daily, so you won't miss early kickoffs. Remember: the USA already crushed Paraguay 4-1 to open the tournament. The energy at Lou's is electric.
Set inside a revamped West Texas-inspired gas station on E. Cesar Chavez, Chalmers is one of the most expansive outdoor bar setups on the East Side — multiple acres, fire pits, big screens, and a Discada taco truck on-site that'll fuel you through a full match day. The vibe is laid-back Austin at its best: show up, find a spot by the fire, scan the QR code, order without leaving your seat, and watch the game on your terms. Open Wed–Sun from noon.

Eastside Magazine — Summer 2026Parley is what the East Side does best: a neighborhood bar that feels like it belongs to the neighborhood. They've leaned hard into the World Cup with $3.65 rotating drink specials themed to whatever country is playing that day — different deal every match. The cocktail program here is genuinely excellent (the Parley Punch is a standout), there's a pool table and outdoor patio, and the crowd is the kind you actually want to watch soccer with. Open daily from 11 AM.
When Brazil, Mexico, or Argentina is on screen, nowhere in Austin captures the moment quite like Takoba and its bar arm Barzon on East 7th. Special World Cup beers, Latin-inspired bites (the ceviche and flautas are exceptional), and a crowd that knows the game. Open Wed–Fri from 4 PM, Sat–Sun from 10 AM — plan your early weekday match days accordingly.
Austin FC's official Pub Club partner and one of the most beloved dive bars on the East Side — yes, the Simpsons-themed one. Nickel City shows every match with sound on all TVs and draws one of the most passionate regular soccer crowds in the city. It fills up fast on big match days, so arrive early. $1 wings on Mondays, and the dirty martini is legendary. Open daily from noon.
Just west of downtown on Lady Bird Lake, Auditorium Shores is where Austin FC kicked off the city's World Cup summer on June 11–12, hosting thousands of fans for the opening matches — USA, Mexico, Canada — against the backdrop of the Austin skyline. Registration for those shows filled to 5,000 capacity fast. Keep an eye on austinfc.com for any future outdoor events at this iconic venue through the tournament.
MML Hospitality has assigned Austin bars as country-specific home bases — each serving themed food and drink specials all tournament long.
