Moving to Austin to attend University of Texas, Dr. Emily Simonek quickly fell in love with the city. While earning her doctorate at University of Houston, she set a goal to return to Austin and open her own practice. After beginning her career in 2009 and serving patients across Austin, she brought that vision to life in 2016 when she opened Austin Eye Studio—her independent, woman-owned practice. In 2023, she relocated to a custom-designed space in the Aldrich Street community in Mueller, where she and her team focus on creating an experience that goes beyond routine eye exams. Every detail—from the intentional way patients are cared for to the curated selection of frames chosen with her opticians—is designed to make visits meaningful and fun. Passionate about serving the Mueller neighborhood and central and east Austin, Dr. Simonek blends comprehensive care with genuine connection. Outside the office, she loves Pilates, Austin’s food and music scene, traveling, and time with her husband, family, and two pups.
