Something Good is Cooking in East Austin for the Tatsu-Ya Team

The beloved neighborhood staple known as Contigo shuttered its doors last fall after hosting the community in their relaxed outdoor space for a decade. The space that housed the beloved Eastside hub will set the stage for a new venture this summer.

2027 Anchor Lane offers a welcoming atmosphere, spacious patio, and soon, a new concept from the team behind Ramen Tatsu-Ya, Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, and Tiki Tatsu-Ya

While the details about the menu at this currently nameless expansion of the Tatsu-Ya ‘empire’ has yet to be announced, it’s safe to assume that Japanese soul food with a Hill Country twist will take center stage.

The reimagined space is set to open its doors in late summer 2022. Speculation about the cuisine and anticipation to be among the first to try the latest from Tatsu Aikawa and Takuya Matsumoto and team will surely escalate to a boiling point as temperatures rise in the coming months.
