After launching East Austin’s premier chophouse, Rosewood, in 2018 with her brother, Chef Jesse DeLeon, Laura was inspired to get her own family of five back to sharing more meals together at home. With a Masters of Social Work, Laura knows the mental health benefits of meaningful family mealtimes and needing a stress-free, delicious way to make dinners easy. During the pandemic, she assembled a team to launch Rosebud Meal Kit Service, along with a non-profit, Eastside Alliance, to support families eating together in East Austin. With Laura’s personal experience as a working mom, Rosebud knows how to help locals get excited about cooking meals together and makes the process as simple and easy as possible to enjoy a quality home-cooked meal.
