On July 8, Austin FC teams up with We Are Blood (WRB) to transform the Lexus Club into the pitch for their annual verde blood drive.
To help combat seasonally low donations, WRB is again partnering with Austin FC to transform the Q2 Stadium into a large-scale community donation event. Blood donors will receive exclusive merchandise and the chance to win a Heartbeat Kit jersey signed by the entire Austin FC team. The event will be on Tuesday, July 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Every donor at our largest blood drive of the year will make a lifesaving difference during these difficult summer months.” shared Nick Canedo, vice president of community engagement at We Are Blood.
The Austin FC and the WRB team urge the entire community to come out and support. The need for blood transfusions continues to rise, but only a small percentage of eligible donors donate.
One blood donation can save up to three lives, so whether you want to score a sweet “Vida Verde” t-shirt or simply help impact the community, schedule an appointment online or call (512) 206-1266. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.
