Get Fit, Release Stress, and Support Local from the Comfort of Home

The need for connection and staying active (or fit) have become crucial in such a time as this. While taking a walk or going for a run is an excellent way to relieve stress and soak up some vitamin D, local gyms and studios still need patronizing in order to pull through this dip. And many have found a way to meet the community’s needs by providing an online platform for patrons to meditate, workout, or even dance.

Austin Meditation is offering complimentary, guided meditation sessions online. Attendees will receive a free 45-60 minute individual intro meditation class with a one-on-one guide to introduce the basics of meditation.

The reformer-based group pilates classes offer a variety of formats and levels for a low impact full-body experience for every body. E + E Fitness offers workouts of all kinds, including an adult obstacle courses (Bootcamp) and jumping around kicking a punching a bag (Kickboxing) to loud music, all the while challenging bodies and minds. They are offering a variety of ways to utilize their workout by live-streaming classes when you sign up for a class on their schedule or app. They have also curated a library of classes you can purchase.

Barre3 Austin-Mueller

Barre3 Austin-Mueller builds strength, restores balance, and creates results with unlimited barre3 workouts live and streaming any time. Free interactive classes with local teachers are live on Instagram, @barre3austinmueller. However, classes are unlimited and available any time when you register for a barre3 subscription, which is currently 20% off. All proceeds will help support the Mueller studio. Workouts ranging from 10 to 60 minutes are available and participants can cancel anytime. The studio has also partnered with No Kid Hungry and pledged to donate 10% of proceeds from all class packages.

Studio Satya is a relatively new studio, started by Mary Richardson. Offering a wide range of classes donation-based yoga and meditation classes (live stream and recorded), all led by experienced teachers and ranging from Vinyasa & Hatha Flow to Yin & Restorative. Free meditations are offered throughout the week, along with a Sunday Service led by Stephen Ross of the previous East Side Yoga.
