Introducing ConcertDome: Austin’s First 360-Degree Immersive Music Venue
Set on Carson Creek Ranch near the Austin airport, ConcertDome is a custom-built, 52-foot geodesic dome designed to transform the traditional concert-going experience. Opening May 9, 2025, this cutting-edge space blends world-class string performances with fully immersive 360° visual environments—making it one of the most unique things to do in Austin for music lovers, locals, and visitors alike.
Every show features a rotating cast of acclaimed string musicians—some of whom have played Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, and toured with the world’s most prestigious orchestras. The catch? They’re not just playing Bach or Beethoven (though there’s some of that too). Instead, you’ll hear custom arrangements of hits by Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Coldplay, Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Radiohead, and more—all performed live on strings inside a glowing dome that reacts in real-time with custom visual projections.
Austin Live Music Meets Immersive Art
Each performance lasts one hour and is repeated three times per night, three nights a week. With only 105 reclining seats arranged in-the-round, every guest is treated to a front-row feel. The dome’s interior becomes a dreamlike canvas, featuring visuals ranging from hand-drawn animations and starfields to futuristic cityscapes—all designed to amplify the emotion of each piece.
ConcertDome founder Tom Yaron says it best: “Music is all about connection. ConcertDome removes the traditional stage barrier and brings the audience into the same world as the musicians. Our shows are intimate, emotional, and built for superfans.”
