For over thirteen years, Green Sprout Preschool has called East Austin home. When asked what sets Green Sprout Preschool apart from other schools, founder and owner, Liz Gelinas, says, “Community. The Green Sprout community is like no other.”
With the founding principles of peace, respect, responsibility, and community, Green Sprout has worked to build a safe and loving environment for our students, parents, and guides. Each child is supported as an individual and learns the importance of honoring others through our curriculum drawn from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Peace Education philosophies. We offer many opportunities for parents to connect with our staff and each other for the support they need as they face the challenges of parenting young children. Our teachers, or guides, are valued and respected as the most crucial part of our team. They are critical to the future of our society, and supporting them financially, emotionally, and professionally is of utmost importance. As a result, our students, parents, and guides come together to create a strong pyramid that will continue to support each other even after each child’s time at Green Sprout comes to an end.
