SkyBlue Kennels

Julie Jones had managed kennels in central and west Austin for years when she heard that one of Austin’s oldest kennels, the Canine Hilton, was for sale. She took a chance, sold her vintage south Austin home, and jumped at the opportunity to own and operate her own dog boarding, training, and grooming facility.  With a highly skilled and devoted staff of animal professionals, eight large play-yards, and climate-controlled indoor/outdoor kennels, SkyBlue Kennels offers east, central, and north Austin dogs the opportunity to have sunshine, lots of running around time, and just generally getting to be dogs.  

Julie, who has been an Austinite for 20 years, lives on the six-acre property, works as a glass artist when she’s off-duty, and spends many hours chasing her own pack of dogs around the grounds.
