5 Ways to Lounge Large

Brought to you by Scott + Cooner

We barely just moved into the neighborhood, only to have Corona spoil the fun of meeting our neighbors. We are all spending time at home right now, so we thought we’d share some ideas on how to lounge large. We look forward to the day where we can all get together again, but – in the meantime, we’re open virtually if you want to visit the showroom on our website. We can’t wait to see you!

Savor the downtime

We all lead such busy lives, so busy that sometimes we forget to stop and smell the coffee. “Stay-at-home” is an opportunity for us to reconnect with ourselves or a favorite book or magazine (like Eastside!). Jessica shows us how in the deSede DS-262 swivel lounge that has a footrest which converts to a side table with ease.

Consider velvet

Fabrics and textures can soothe our senses and help relieve stress. Consider furniture in soft nubbly fabrics, or super sumptuous velvet. Pictured is the deSede DS-600 sofa. With its modular sections, it can be created to any length and shape.

Lounge outdoors

We’re still allowed outdoors, and it’s not too hot yet. Enjoy the golden days of Austin. Shown: Wabi swing by Paola Lenti.

Create your own island

Even if you’re not pretending the floor is lava, a cozy sofa where you can spread out on is something to be grateful for. The Hamilton sofa by Minotti is modular and available in multiple configurations.

Find a snuggle buddy

Your partner, your kids, or your pet-–we all need a little love these days. Just make sure to wash your hands.

With a love of classic and modern European furnishings, lighting, and accessories, the team at Scott + Cooner has collected and curated some of the best designs in the world, and brought it here to Texas: products with unique designs stories for their creation, classic modern designs that are in the MOMA, things you won’t find at other showrooms.
