In the Live Music Capital of the World, music extends to every part of town, even in the cocktails. Dance the night away with one of these five music-inspired cocktails.

Born On the Baijiu
Ah Sing Den
A play on Creedence Clearwater Revival’s, Born on the Bayou, the cocktail features China’s national spirit, baijiu. Lesser known in the U.S., baijiu is a unique spirit distilled from grain that translates to “white (clear) liquor.” One of the signature cocktails on Ah Sing Den’s menu, Born on the Baijiu is made up of Flor De Caña 4 year rum, baijiu, house kumquat tea, honey, and prosecco.

Red Headed Stranger
The Cavalier
Nods to Willie Nelson can be found everywhere around Austin—in murals, in street signs, and even in drinks. The Cavalier features a little bit of Willie on the menu through their drink, the Red Headed Stranger. The frozen sip combines El Silencio Mezcal with real strawberry puree for a smokey yet sweet flavor, complete with a kick of tang from the added fresh lemonade.

Stray Cat Strut
Domo Alley-Gato
Nestled next door to Ramen Tatsu-ya, Domo Alley-Gato is a new-to-town patio bar serving up authentic Japanese food and cocktails, one of which is the Stray Cat Strut. Made with gin, umeshu, yuzu, and aloe, Stray Cat Strut is as refreshing as it is flavorful. It’s safe to say you’ll be struttin’ away happily after sipping on this unique cocktail.
